Cape Inference

Terms of service

Last updated 3 November 2026

These terms cover the Qwen3.8-27B service that Cape Inference provides through OpenRouter. "We" means Cape Inference, an independent operator in Cape Town, South Africa. "You" means anyone whose requests reach our service. If you need our full name and address for a legal matter, write to [email protected].

How you reach us

You use our service through OpenRouter, so OpenRouter's terms and policies apply as well. Your account, billing and payments are with OpenRouter, not with us.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to break the law or to harm others, and don't try to break into, probe or overload our systems. Content that sexualises children is forbidden. We may limit or refuse requests that put the service or other people at risk.

What the model writes

Answers come from an AI language model. They can be wrong, out of date, incomplete or offensive, so check them before you rely on them, especially for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions. You are responsible for how you use what the model writes. We claim no rights in your prompts or in the answers.

The model and its licence

Qwen3.8-27B is made by the Qwen team at Alibaba Cloud and released under the Apache License 2.0. We serve a 4-bit (NVFP4) version of it by RadixArk, also under Apache 2.0. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Alibaba, RadixArk, NVIDIA or OpenRouter.

Availability and changes

We run the service on a best-effort basis and don't promise any level of uptime. We may change, pause or stop it at any time. Prices are set on OpenRouter. If we change these terms, we'll post the new version here with a new date.

No warranty, and limits on liability

As far as the law allows, the service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profit or business. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what OpenRouter paid us for your requests in the three months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights that South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, gives you and that can't be removed by agreement.

Law

These terms are governed by South African law, and South African courts have jurisdiction.
